Honoring September as National Yoga Month, we will delve deeply into some of the core principles of Iyengar yoga. Beginners learn to pay attention to aligning bones, while more experienced students explore their muscles and skin, for example. We guarantee your "awareness muscles" will get a workout (i.e., work-in!!).

The sizzling temperatures and activity levels that we expect of ourselves during summer can be exhausting, so join us for a refreshing inward journey in Rest & Renew, our Saturday morning retreat for women only. The body and mind have an almost infinite capacity to renew themselves, but sometimes they need the help of bolsters, pen & paper, and some quiet time to help with that rejuvenation process. Bring your journal and wear loose, comfortable clothing, and come willing to explore the inner landscape of your life.
A supple spine supports an open mind. Explore the power of Iyengar yoga's lateral twists to un-kink your neck and shoulders and empower you to look at things from different angles. While bending forward is traditionally considered a way of surrendering, surrender is only wise when your foundation is stable. Stability. Extending. Revolving. Bending. Embrace them all!
Every woman's body and soul need occasional renewal so that we can do our best both with our families and out in the world. Connect with your body and with others' hearts and minds through restful yoga poses, introspective time, conversation, and gentle movement. Each of these Saturday mornings is designed so that everyone present leaves feeling rested, and renewed.
Standing poses are the foundation, literally & figuratively, for the practice of Iyengar yoga. In this workshop we will focus on correct alignment from the toes through the nose, on not just balance poses but also on balancing the energy in each pose, and on how standing poses relate to seated poses and inversions. All students with six weeks or more experience in Iyengar yoga are welcome.
It’s leap year, so let’s leap!! This workshop will be a play date with your body & soul, and will include some of the ways we use leaping & jumping & playing with gravity in our yoga poses. We will work hard, play playfully, & rest deeply. This workshop is suitable for students with six weeks or more experience in Iyengar yoga. Register by 9 pm Feb 27. Please bring your open heart & mind, and your spirit of adventure!
