WGEM FM 105 Talk Radio’s host Greg Harley Gawronski and I are still connecting every Monday around 8:40 a.m, sometimes to talk about meditation and sometimes to do a bit of meditation practice.
The “practice” is much like savasana, corpse pose, which is many of our students’ favorite part of yoga class: lying comfortably on the floor at the end of class as the teacher talks quietly about softening, releasing, and surrendering, different parts of the body. And thus, the mind.
Since we can’t have long periods of silence on the radio (they are actually called “dead spots” — a perfect part of corpse pose, but not ok on commercial radio, apparently!), the guidance through softening the scalp, softening the forehead, etc. is being heard by people driving to work, people in their barns and other workplaces, and even one of Greg’s friends listening from Florida.
Join us anytime — official start time is 8:38 a..m. but sometimes we’re not exactly on time — an ease we are giving ourselves, attributing that to CoVid. Ahhh. Ease. How lovely. Grateful I am for the opportunity to share what I love & what nourishes me. And so it is.
